If this isn't your favorite band you're a fucking idiot.
Halfway through editing the image above Christina told me to make this my business card while I was adjusting the levels so I decided to just make that shit happen with a little text.
Chateau Shangri La was an experiment Jimmy and I came up with one evening while drinking some wine. I tacked up some shoe laces in what I felt was an aesthetically pleasing pattern and we decided that as long as they were up we would make sure everyone who came to my apartment was photographed in front of it . The second part was making sure when these photos were distributed on the internet people were given the false impression that Chateau Shangri La was some club /bar/speakeasy or at least something more exciting than a 2 bedroom apartment.
Don't become my friend I will get "buzzed" and tag yr house/apartment/possessions.
PHOTO-FIGHT!
Define: Bro.
Cory told every1 he was a bloody tampon 4 Halloween.
I took this photo on Halloween '07, there's a pretty funny story behind this one but I'd like to leave this one with a little mystery.
This is a photo I took of Rob. It was at an art show at my old apartment. As you can probably tell he is pretty wasted, this was in the middle of a <3>
This is an old tag from last October. I was pretty happy with how it turned out, I also enjoyed watching kids at the skate park try to do flip tricks over it and skate it like a channel gap for the next week before the city primer grayed it. Miss U 99cent menu tag, kinna like HEETHY but less tragic yall...
Hi everyone, I decided to start a blogger account to keep things everyone updated on my art in a forum other than myspace. Don't worry the www.myspace.com/BrettHatesArt page is still around and will be but I reckon I can put more photos and things here without getting spammed or constantly asked if I want to "join someone's mafia" or listen to their remix of some sub-par Justice song. So here it is, there will be more updates soon, I plan on putting a lot of photos up, more sketchbook stuff in as well as large art work and photos, all in an easier, more chronological order.
